Simon, I’m not sure if you saw this, however I would really like for you to respond to this report which discusses arbitration proceedings currently pending between EPNG and the Midcoast Connection. They expect it to be completed within the next month. Let me know your thoughts on this if you have the time. One of the primary reasons that we contracted with Midcoast in the first place was that they could provide better service to us than were being offered by other pipeline companies. We’ve had problems in the past with EPNG’s pipeline which has caused us to have to pay over $200,000 per month for excess capacity. This resulted in EPNG making all of their charges at the tariff rate rather than an hourly rate. I believe they will probably be willing to settle for $50,000 per month for excess capacity at a price of $150/MMBtu which I feel is a reasonable price. This will be about a 33% reduction in our monthly bills which we can definitely use in the next few months if not all of 2002. The other primary reason we need to start mitigating these costs is that we are making a significant equity investment in the EPNG pipeline system in the next few months and are looking to recover our capital expenditures on a very short timetable. At this point we need to be looking to recover our capital as soon as possible. Given the shortage of pipeline capacity, we will need to have all of our pipeline capacity to be shared amongst the customers. Currently the pipeline is heavily subscribed.
